Middle Carson River Management Plan

Middle Carson River Management Plan
By NLT

The Nevada Land Trust worked with Nevada Division of State Parks, Carson Water Subconservancy District, Lyon County, Dayton Valley Conservation District and Lahontan Audubon IBA to develop a management plan to implement projects on the Middle Carson River floodplain and riparian corridor.  The plan area covers Lyon County’s public open space lands and lands managed by the Nevada Division of State Parks (e.g., Dayton State Park, Fort Churchill State Park and Lahontan State Recreation Area). The Middle Carson River Management Plan is a practical plan for land managers that identifies suitable projects at specific locations along the river corridor.  Thanks to funding from the Nevada Division of State Lands Conservation and Resource Protection Grant Program, the plan is completed and available for review.
