Water

Water is life—nowhere more so than in the high desert of Nevada.

Our land and wildlife have adapted to limited high desert water supplies, which makes the water we do have even more precious. To ensure healthy ecosystems, it’s vital to manage water rights on protected lands, as well as the health of our rivers, lakes and streams.

Since its founding in 1998, Nevada Land Trust (NLT) has helped to conserve more than 60,000 acres of land and associated water rights.
