Big Springs Meadow
By NLT

This 128-acre permanent conservation easement was donated by Nevada Gold Mines to the United States Fish & Wildlife Service as part of the Sage Grouse Bank Enabling Agreement. The most valuable assets of Big Springs Meadow include the plants and animals that are found on the property as well as the water resources, which include springs, intermittent and perennial streams, and ponds that provide both water for onsite agricultural use and habitat for wildlife.

A sampling of the wildlife found in the area include golden eagles, greater sage grouse, osprey, burrowing owls, mule deer, pronghorn antelope, and long-nosed snake.
